C.TAG was the first iteration of Lost Memories during the Closed Alpha phase, with memories numbering 01001 through 01145, making 145 memories in total. It began on February 1, 2013 with the last sequence on August 31, 2013.

 

The aim of the game was to unlock a new memory each day. We were given a question to answer, and with that answer we had to find the exact location and date of that memory. You were given a Geographical and Temporal level that the memory was located in. Once the cursor was positioned in the right place, a new memory would pop up in that exact location. These memories were scattered through out history, and contained lore and history of both the Assassin and Templar Order's.

 

Finding the right location added 100 points to your score. There were no consequences for the analysis of an incorrect location, and you could try as many times as you wanted. A multiplier was active in the first 48 hours following the publication of a C_Tag. Find a location in the first 24 hours to earn triple points, or within the next 24 hours to earn double points. The multiplier was no longer available after this initial period of 48 hours.
